International Community Film and Video Festival: Ojo al Sancocho
Bogotá, Colombia: Take part in this years community film and video competition held in Ciudad Bolívar, Bogotá. The call for entries is open until 6 August 2010. Professional producers, students, amateurs, academy, social organisations, enterprises, T.V. channels, and those willing to share their audiovisual productions are welcome to participate. The winning entries will be announced on 24 September 2010 at the closing ceremony of the festival. This festival is the third International Community Film and Video Festival, Ojo al Sancocho, held from 24 to 27 September 2010. This community based initiative promotes the exchange of expertise, knowledge and experiences related to alternative audiovisual communication. Testaments of the Heart - A world premiere theatrical concert
Atlanta, United States: A world premiere of music written in the concentration and internment camps of WWII, collected by Francesco Lotoro, will be publicly performed by Atlanta musicians. The music will be accompanied by an exhibition of family and community pictures from the victims of the Holocaust, rediscovered by Ann Weis. A unique and moving celebration of life, creativity, and the persistence of the human spirit. The concert will be held at Emory's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts, on 28 September 2010 at 7.30 pm.
