Pieces were sourced from some of the most challenging environments from around the globe, including Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovnia, Burma, Rwanda, Georgia, Iran and Colombia. Also highlighted are little known, but no less challenging, conflict zones such as Western Sahara and Java.
Over 600 people attended the opening of the exhibition on 18 February including UN secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York and hip hop mogul and philanthropist Russell Simmons.
