Acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf took home the
Main Prize with The Kumjing Storytellers coming in as first runner up and Sheenkai Alam Stanikzai
taking third place.
Youth Prize Winner
The Youth Prize winner was Poimboi Veeyah Koindhu, a group of former child soldiers from Sierra Leone who use dance to heal themselves and seek forgiveness from their communities.
Imprisoned Artist Prize Winner
The Imprisoned Artist Prize went to Lapiro de Mbanga, Cameroonian musician and social reform campaigner.
