Raha Rastifard and Mehran Tizkar are two Iranian-born, German residents have used multi-media techniques to show the face of modern day Iranian women. The title of the work, Tuba, refers to the name of a tree in paradise without any roots. They write, "Iran is a country where Islam affects every area of life. Within the current discussions among young Iranians is the question of what happens if every Iranian woman has to accept her role within an Islamic society. Iranian women have always participated and do participate in social and political movements; they want to be defined by their national identity." They wanted to show in their work the face of the Iranian woman without degrading her.
