Dzone Hodzic

It is held to be a custom in the Balkans to take justice into one's own hands when a member of the family is murdered. Until the murderer is themselves killed, the family will not rest. In this piece of dance theatre, the sanctity of life is celebrated, along with the fight against the intolerance arising from misunderstandings, conflicts and never-ending cycles of death. Life wins over death, the future over the past, good over evil, wisdom over emotions. This play shows that the courageous one is not the one who kills, but the one who forgives.
