Main Prize - 2009
Jeton Neziraj from the Centre for Childrens Theatre Development worked with the UN Office on Missing Persons and Forensics on this theatre piece addressing the issue of 'the missing' in Kosovo. The aim was to hear the voice of the families of the missing and to preserve their feelings, ideas and beliefs. The project aimed to mobilise Kosovo society towards more active engagement in the process of finding the missing, and at the same time to show solidarity and to share their pain by offering support and encouragement for the future. Jeton says the effort was rewarded with the words of a woman whose husband and four sons were missing: "It's six years now that I havent left my house, and today I felt very good watching your play."
