Kyriacos Zakos

Youth Prize - 2009
"All people are different but equal, an integral part of a beautiful human puzzle" - the message given by 7-year-old Kyriacos who lives in Cyprus. Kyriacos believes this message applies to the whole world. His mother is proud of her son's belief that all people must realise what a beautiful human puzzle they can create when they unite, despite the differences in colour, background and religion. When his mother asked her son what he had drawn, he said, "Look mom, these are different people and how so? See how people created from different things can make a nice big picture? Doesn't it look like a puzzle?"
