Raha Rastifard and Mehran Tizkar are two Iranian-born, German residents who have used multi-media techniques to show the face of modern day Iranian women. The title of the work, 'Tuba', refers to the name of a tree in paradise without any roots. They belive that in Iran, Islam affects every area of life. The current subject of discussion amongst young Iranians is the question of what would happen if every Iranian woman had to accept her role within an Islamic society. Mandragora want to show in their work the face of the Iranian woman without degrading her.
