This Australian artist has sown wheat into the framework of a machine gun - a juxtaposition of creativity and destruction. The contrast between the vivid green and stark black of the weapon shows the potential growth of the plant over the static nature of death and violence. The artist poses the question: What hope is possible in a world of destruction? Her work inspires hope through our creative spirit and through the resilience of nature. The artwork has a powerful, global message and was selected for exhibition at the 2010 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
