Our 2011 Exhibitions

2011 - Mumbai

19 May - 2 June 2011
Galerie Mirchandani+Steinruecke, India

The Freedom to Create Exhibition made its debut in India from 19 May to 2 June 2011, at the Galerie Mirchandani+Steinruecke in Mumbai.

A culturally diverse and vibrant country, India has historically had a rich story telling culture and art has been a communication tool as well as a medium of self expression at all levels of society. The Freedom to Create Exhibition combines powerful art with important messaging, bringing global issues to local communities to bring awareness, invite conversation and to inspire creativity, thought and action.

Central to our work is the belief that communities themselves hold the power to creatively address and find solutions to the issues that our exhibitions bring to light. As a society, our great challenge is to provide each person with the freedom to create and the opportunity to participate as the builders and caretakers of peace and prosperity for tomorrow’s world.

The Exhibition received tremendous success and acclaim in New York, where the works were displayed at the Ana Tzarev Gallery.

"This is one of the most informative and eye opening art exhibitions I have ever seen. Perhaps as the 2010 Freedom to Create Exhibition tours the world, the disarray of mankind will shed light on issues that should no longer be kept silent.

I highly recommend this exhibit as an important experience and a lesson in gratitude no matter where you are."
