2011 - New York
24 March 2011
Ana Tzarev Gallery, New York
The first Freedom to Create Forum of 2011 was held on 24 March 2011, at the Ana Tzarev Gallery in New York .
In a twenty first century world, thriving institutions, developed as well as developing nations and successful businesses recognise that women are indispensable change agents and catalysts for progressive development. However, in many emerging economies, millions of women have no opportunity to contribute their extraordinary potential and enormous promise.
As a global commitment to the dignity and potential of every human being, every nation should adopt effective measures to ensure the development of inclusive opportunities that have the potential to unleash transformational change for the women of the Critical Mass, allowing them to take control of their own destiny.
The event was a discussion between international female role models on:
- Enabling entrepreneurship for the Critical Mass, especially women, in developing countries: the fundamentals and what we can expect to see evolve over the next five years
- Empowering women – issues and solutions: what has worked and what does not work
- The dynamics of female entrepreneurship in developing countries
- Women, frugal innovation: harnessing the untapped creativity of the Critical Mass
